Today I discovered a nice pattern De Correspondent uses. The news site is full of smart design decisions, but today I noticed a pattern that shown the user how long the article is. I’ve seen this indication before on other sites, but they extended the pattern by using a different color when the user enters the comments section.
The red color indicates how far you have to scroll till the end of the article is reached; the blue colors show the length of the comments. Very nice detail, and smart!
